SDTR was awarded an AIP certificate for the world's 1st Ammonia Dual Fuel Kamsarmax Bulk Carrier

17 February 2023, marks another significant milestone for SDTR. China Class Society (CCS) awarded SDTR an AIP certificate for the world first Ammonia Dual Fuel Kamsarmax Bulk Carrier, which is in a joint development project with Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI).

This is attestation of SDTR’s decarbonization effort. SDTR is being recognized for her effort in developing an ocean going dual fuel bulk carrier. The vessel design is part of SDTR’s continuous effort to upgrade and innovate our Kamsarmax fleet to improve their fuel efficiency contributing towards the decarbonization of the shipping industry.
