In line with SDTR's efforts towards environmental corporate responsibility, SDTR has participated in the OneMillionTrees movement, which is a key pillar under the Singapore Green Plan 2030. The movement aims to transform Singapore into a City in Nature through the planting of a million more trees across Singapore till 2030.

Employees and their families gathered at Ulu Pandan Park Connector on 8 September 2023 to take part in the Tree Planting Day. By supporting initiatives like the OneMillionTrees movement, SDTR aims to contribute to the larger narrative of building resilience against climate change, ultimately improving the health and well-being of communities.

Trees, beyond their aesthetic appeal, offer a multitude of benefits to the environment and society. By increasing biodiversity, they contribute to the overall health of ecosystems. Moreover, trees play a pivotal role in preventing soil erosion, ensuring the sustainability of vital natural resources. Their shade and cooling effects also aid in lowering atmospheric temperatures, creating a more comfortable and resilient urban environment.

As a responsible global citizen, SDTR recognizes the interconnectedness of environmental issues and their global impact. SDTR acknowledges the urgent need to address climate change and is committed to playing its part in mitigating the effects of carbon dioxide emissions.

Beyond business operations, the company strives to integrate sustainability into its core values and practices. The Tree Planting Day at Ulu Pandan Park Connector not only symbolizes the company's immediate contribution but also signifies a broader commitment to environmental stewardship. As SDTR continues to champion initiatives that align with the Singapore Green Plan 2030, it paves the way for a brighter, greener, and more sustainable future for all.

“Plant a memory, plant a tree, do it today for tomorrow.”
