SDTR Successfully Hosts 2025 Annual Crew Conference in Qingdao
On 24 – 25 April 2025, SDTR has successfully hosted its 2025 Annual Crew Conference in Qingdao. Centered on the theme “Grateful for Eight Years Together, Sailing into a New Journey”, the event gathered leading industry experts, partners, and outstanding seafarers from both home and abroad to discuss industry trends, conduct specialized training, and share experiences.
A recognition banquet was held to honor outstanding seafarers and partners. Notable awards included the “Golden Voyage Award” and “Outstanding PSC Performance Award” were given to top performing seafarers. For crew-manning companies, “Safeguarding and Win-Win Cooperation Award” and “Loyal and Trustworthy Cooperation Award” were given to recognize service excellence and long-term collaboration.
During the conference, SDTR also invited representatives from the China Classification Society, Headway Technology, MAN Energy Solutions, SMIT Salvage, and True North Marine to conduct training for seafarers. Topics such as port state control inspections of ships, operation and management of ballast water systems, future trends in marine fuel energy transition, technical issues related to methanol and ammonia dual-fuel main engines, management of marine emergency and salvage operations, and optimization of voyage routing based on weather data.
SDTR will continue to uphold the philosophy of “Be Kind To Others” and remain attentive to seafarers’ needs, actively build career development platforms, and provide diverse training and learning opportunities—joining hands with all seafarers and partners to write a new chapter in high-quality maritime development.
