Newbuilding contract signing with AVIC leasing

Nanjing Jinling Shipyard in China and AVIC International Leasing have signed a newbuilding contract for two 82,000 DWT Kamsarmax bulk carriers, which will be lease to SDTR Marine upon completion.

Jinling Shipyard has already delivered five Kamsarmax vessels in a series of ten to SDTR Marine, with the sixth vessel to be delivered in May and remaining four during the remainder of 2018 and 2019.

The modern Kamsarmax design provides for a large cargo carrying capacity, strong seaworthiness and low energy consumption and is in high demand in the market.
