Delivery of MV SDTR Alice

In the morning of 16 June 2021, SDTR Marine took delivery of its first dolphin 85 Vessel – MV SDTR ALICE, built by Shanhaiguan Shipyard Co Ltd, who is the subsidiary company of Dalian Shipbuilding industry Co.

This further optimises SDTR Marine’s fleet age and vessel fleet make-up, which increases its propensity to provide better customer service to its clients and gain a competitive edge internationally.

The dolphin 85 vessel is a new generation vessel compared to the previous generation of 82K KAMARMAX. It uses a new linear design and its superstructure layout is able to reduce wind resistance. This greatly optimises the vessel performance which allows it to perform at a faster speed with lower fuel consumption.

Equipped with the SCR Denitrogenation, its Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) exceeds the Phase 2 requirements and is able to fulfil the requirements of the new maritime regulations in next stages such as energy saving, emission reduction and environmental protection.
